Vicente Luque vs. Geoff Neal Meet at August 6th Fight Night
A clash between top welterweights has been added to the August 6th UFC Fight Night.
Welterweight contenders Vicente Luque and Geoff Neal will face off at the event, as both men look to make their way towards the welterweight strap.
Luque (21-8-1) has climbed the rankings in the last few years having defeated Mike Perry, former welterweight champion Tyron Woodley, and Michael Chiesa. His last outing came against Belal Muhammad just last month, which he ultimately lost via unanimous decision. Ranked at 6th in the welterweight division, “The Silent Assassin” will look to get back in title contention with a win over Neal.
Neal (14-4-0) came off of the 2017 season of Dana White’s Contender Series. Since then he has gone on to defeat the likes of Belal Muhammad, Niko Price, and Mike Perry. Most recently he defeated Santiago Ponzinibbio via a split decision and is sitting at 12th in the welterweight rankings.
With the recent bout announcement via Brett Okamoto, the lineup for the August 6th Fight Night will include:
