Weigh-in Results for Lion Fight 54, All Three Title Fights Good to Go
The Hotel side of the Route 66 Hotel & Casino hosted the Lion Fight 54 weigh-ins, April 19. Official weights and outcome from the weigh-ins below.
The doors at the Legends Theater, inside the Route 66 Casino, open tomorrow at 4:30 with the first fight scheduled for 5:15 pm, local time, here in Albuquerque, NM.
The CBS Sports Network main card features three title bouts, two North American, and one world title. All championship fighters and all the professional fighters made weight for this card.
The same can’t be said for the amateur portion of the card where Andre Mitchell vs. Matthew Cordona and Derrick Morale vs. Jonathon Trujillo have been cancelled. Mitchell came in eight pounds light, while Cordona was just under two and a half pounds heavy on his second attempt to make the agreed upon weight. Derrick Morale made weight on his second attempt, but Jonathon Trujillo came in nearly six pounds over the contracted limit. This has led to Andre Mitchell versus Jonathon Trujillo being a go.
