In the co-main event, So Mi Ong Luktupfah will return to action as he takes on Uzbekistan’s Artur Te. The card will take place in Myanmar but will broadcast on UFC Fight Pass and Canal+ as well as other broadcast partners.

Chairman of WLC, Zay Thiha, said, “We are excited to announce the return of world-class lethwei action on the 28th of August. With our new broadcast partners, for the first time ever, World Lethwei Championship will be available in more than 100 countries. I am also ver excited to crown the first ever female lethwei world champion in history! Both female athletes are the best in the world and to be able to showcase female athletes in lethwei is one of our organisational goals!”

Building WLC 12

Souris Manfredi comes into WLC 12 having already smashing barriers in the sport. She recorded the first knockout by a woman in the promotion. She’s beat Eh Yanut and Tran Thi Lua in lethwei already to give her a 2-0 record.

On the other side of the ring, Maisha Katz hails from Spain and lives in Thailand. She’s gone 17-3 in combat sports and looks to branch into the more extreme side of lethwei.

So Mi Ong Luktupfah is a superstar in combat sports. He is quick and explosive. He won his first WLC fight by knockout. Luktupfah will look to build off that momentum built in his last fight.

Artur Te comes into WLC 12 as a kickboxing world champion out of Max FC. He looks to get some awesome new experiences joining WLC.
