Xavier Alaoui to face Jayson Margallo at UAE Warriors 36 on February 25

Following his knockout win over Fabricio Saraff at UAE Warriors 31, Canada’s Xavier Alaoui (13-4) has his next fight set. Sources confirmed to MyMMANews.com that Alaoui will face Jayson Margallo (11-5) of the Philippines in a fight scheduled to take place in the bantamweight division.

With his win over Saraff earned Xaiver Alaoui the UAE Warriors Arabia title, but it will not be on the line because the scheduled fight against Margallo will take place on the International Series. The UAE Warriors promotion has three series of event, with the first being their International Series which features fighters from across the world. Their second series is the UAE Warriors African series which features fighters with African heritage. Their third and final series is UAE Warriors Arabia for fighters with Arabian heritage.

The fight between Xaiver Alaoui and Jayson Margallo will go down at UAE Warriors 36 on Saturday, February 25, at the Ethiad Arena on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi and will be available to watch live on UFC Fight Pass.

UAE Warriors 36 will be headlined by Bruno Machado (15-9) defending his UAE Warriors lightweight championship against Armenia’s Martun Mezhlumyan, (14-3) and tformer PFL champion Emiliano Sordi (23-11-1) will take on Asylzhan Bakhytzhanuly (13-4-1) in the co-main event of the evening.

The entire weekend will feature a triple-header from UAE Warriors with UAE Warriors 35: Africa taking place on February 24, UAE Warriors 36 taking place on February 25, and UAE Warriors 37: Arabia closing out the weekend on February 26. This will be the first show from UAE Warriors since October 22 when they put on their UAE Warriors 34 event.

With a weekend of three events, UAE Warriors will also feature four title fights throughout the events, as history will be made at UAE Warriors 35: Africa when they crown their first ever bantamweight champion when Jaures Dea (9-5) and Mohamed Camara, (5-1) face each other for the inaugural title. Also on the line that weekend will be the UAE Warriors Arabia lightweight title at UAE Warriors 37 when champion Mohammed Yahya (11-3) will defend his title against Souhil Tahiri (5-3-1) in the main event. The fourth and final title fight of the weekend will see Nawras Abzakh (10-4) challenge Jonny Touma (5-1) for the inaugural UAE Warriors Arabia flyweight title.

While the full card for the event has not been released yet, the main event, co-main event, and the fight between Xaiver Alaoui and Jayson Margallo have all been confirmed for UAE Warriors 36.
