Yoel Romero suspended 60 days for UFC 205 post fight celebration
Yoel Romero will likely meet UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping for the title in early 2017 after his UFC 205 knockout over former champion Chris Weidman.
But ‘The Soldier of God’ Romero is currently being punished for what happened after the fight. After defeating Weidman, Romero hopped up and over the octagon. Why? He was excited. He just knocked out the former champion of the world and was being lined up for a title shot.
Per New York State Department spokesperson Laz Benitez, Romero will be suspended 60 days by the NYSAC. Exiting the fighting area before the bout is officially over is prohibited by the New York commission. Romero will be eligible to return to action Jan. 12, 2017.Follow MyMMANews.com on Social Media
