Young star vs. Nordic legend

Young Swedish talent Michel Ersoy is set against the Nordic MMA legend Thomas Hytten at Superior Challenge 13 – Norrköping.

One of Sweden’s most promising talents Michel has gone from strength to strength. The young athlete from Järfälla in Stockholm has progressed positively and grown into a more mature fighter after each bout. Coming from five straight wins, he now takes on the Nordic MMA legend Thomas “Moon Lee” Hytten at Superior Challenge 13 – Norrköping on April 9th at Stadium Arena. Thomas began competing in 1998 and after 19 amateur bouts, he started with pro MMA in early 2003. During his 20 pro fights, he has met quite tough opponents such as Mario Stapel, Robbie Olivier, Per Eklund and Michel’s training partner Nicklas Bäckstrom. Hytten is and always has been Joachim “Hellboy” Hansen’s sparring partner, which clearly demonstrates his technical level.

Babak Ashti, Founder Superior Group International:
– Michel’s fast pace and aggressive fighting style makes him one of my favourite fighters. Things happen when Michel gets into the cage, and those who have seen him fight know not to blink, if they don’t want to miss anything. Hytten is the most difficult, tricky and certainly most experienced opponent Michel has ever fought. I remember Thomas’s bouts from early 2000s and that they inspired me a lot. He is in my opinion a true Nordic MMA legend. An experienced all-round fighter who’s now matched against a young aggressive fighter, that is growing in his role as one of Sweden’s top names of the sport.
