Adrian Yanez talks UFC Vegas 43 win, love for boxing & coaching
Interview with Adrian Yanez above
Adrian Yanez looked sharpe in his UFC Vegas 43 victory over Davey Grant.
From start to finish Yanez showcased a high level of boxing skills and landed a big number of straight shots that opened up Grant.
While Yanez was landing straight shots, Grant was still able to find his mark as well. The two bantamweights put on a great fight for the fans and when it was all over, it was Yanez that edged out Grant by a split decision.
Yanez, wasn’t happy with the judge that scored the fight for Grant, especially since the judge scored all three rounds in favor of Grant.
Nonetheless, Yanez is thrilled after the win in which he went home with an extra 50 thousand dollars as him and Grant were given a Fight of the Night bonus.
Following the win, Yanez spoke with MyMMANews on two separate occasions. First he spoke with James Lynch about the win, being popular on Twitter and a possible shot at rising superstar Sean O’Malley.
Now, Yanez once again sat down with MyMMANews to not only talk about his UFC Vegas 43 performance, but to talk about his love for the sport of boxing and how he carries into MMA. He also talks about how he recently became the coach of his gym and how he’s adjusting to the coaching life.
