Ashlee Evans-Smith vs. Ketlen Vieira added to UFC on FOX 24
The number 12 ranked UFC women’s bantamweight Ashlee Evans-Smith (5-1) will return to the octagon when the organization makes its first trip to Kansas City.
Evans-Smith will fight Ketlen Vieira (7-0) on April 15, 2017 at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
Vieira is coming off an October split decision win over Kelly Faszholz at UFC Fight Night 96 in October.
The 25-year old Brazilian is currently undefeated and will be facing her toughest opponent to date in Evans-Smith.
‘Rebel Girl’ Evans-Smith has won two in a row inside the octagon, most recently a third round TKO over Veronica Macedo in September.
Evans-Smith’s organizational debut was at UFC 181. She accepted a short notice fight due to a late dropout by Raquel Pennington’s original opponent Holly Holm.
The event will be the first that the UFC has hosted in the state of Missouri and the Kansas City metropolitan area.Follow MyMMANews.com on Social Media
