Benson Henderson: “I’ll be there with my hand raised”

This Saturday, October 16, Bellator 268 brings an absolutely dynamic card to the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona.

Featuring the semi-finals for the Bellator Light Heavyweight Grand Prix, Bellator 268 also features the return of Benson “Smooth” Henderson as he takes on former Bellator lightweight champion, Brent Primus in a highly anticipated, fan-favorite showdown.

“I think it’s a good matchup,” Henderson says. “I think Primus is going to bring his A-game. I’m going to my A-game and we’re going to let the chips fall where they may.” Confidently expressing, I’ll be there with my hand raised,”

Henderson is on a headhunt to capture the Bellator lightweight championship so he can complete his personal trinity of championships.

With such an astounding career, full of an endless list of accolades, Henderson is content with his career’s achievements. However, his list of feats isn’t complete just yet. “Just one only,” as Hendo prefaces his goals. “Go get that belt,” he decisively says. “Get that belt around my waist. That’s it!”

Henderson continues, “Everything else doesn’t mean anything. All of it has culminated, all of it comes down to getting that third belt around my waist. I have to have that third belt wrapped around my waist. I will have that third belt around my waist! And that means everything to me,” Henderson adamantly says.

“I’ll get the belt; I’ll defend it one time and we’ll see after that. Maybe, maybe not. Who knows?” Continuing, “That’s my life goals right now!”
