BKFC 44 Features Inaugural Featherweight Title Fight

Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship makes its triumphant return to Great Falls, Montana. The organization does so on Friday, June 9th with BKFC 44. This event is headlined by Kai Stewart vs Louie Lopez with gold up for grabs.

BKFC 44 emanates from the Pacific Steel and Recycling Arena at Montana Expo Park. The pugilistic proceedings feature a huge BKFC featherweight world title fight. Number one ranked hometown hero, Kai ‘Hefty Bag’ Stewart of Great Falls, MT clashes with #2 ranked cross-town rival Louie ‘El Loco’ Lopez also of Great Falls.

The fistic fireworks of BKFC 44 will also be broadcast internationally as part of the BKFC App.

“This is our fourth event in the true fighting state of Montana and our third in front of the amazing fans in Great Falls,” said David Feldman, President of BKFC. “Kai Stewart and Louie Lopez are the top-ranked featherweights in BKFC. Have absolutely earned the opportunity to fight for a world championship with their impressive victories leading up to this highly anticipated cross-town battle.”

“BKFC is selling out arenas all over the United States. This event judging by the massive support we’ve received in Montana will absolutely sell-out. So I strongly encourage fans to purchase in advance for this can’t miss BKFC event.”

145 pounds is one of the few divisions in the company that has never seen a champion cemented up until this juncture. That will all change in the coming months as an inaugural BKFC featherweight titleholder will finally be established.

Kai Stewart vs Louie Lopez

Kai Stewart is 3-0 in BKFC overall. He cemented his #1 ranking with an impressive decision over BKFC veteran Rusty Crowder at BKFC 29 on September 10th, 2022. Prior to that victory, Stewart scored first-round knockouts over Daniel Gary and Darrick Gates at BKFC 24 and BKFC Fight Night Montana, respectively.

Louie Lopez is 3-1 in BKFC competition. He returns on the heels of a first-round stoppage of Howard Davis at BKFC 34 on December 3rd, 2022. Trained by BKFC world title challenger ‘Diesel’ Joe Riggs, Lopez looks to ascend to world champ here and do his mentor proud. At BKFC 29, the heavy-handed Lopez stopped Dylan Schulte in the fourth round on September 10th, 2022. He also scored a first-round knockout over Gabe Saccheti at BKFC Fight Night New York on November 6th, 2021.

Additional bouts for this BKFC summer showcase will be announced as fight night looms closer.
