Brandon Johnson: “I’m more than happy to stand and bang”

Brandon Johnson couldn’t have been any happier to hear the news that he would be fighting for two belts in one fight with a win granting him the opportunity for a world tournament. What fighter wouldn’t salivate at that offer? Stellar Fights and the WKA have made just that opportunity happen. This Saturday, August 17th, Stellar Fights 43 goes down at the Delaware State Fairgrounds in Harrington, Delaware, for the Stellar Fights and WKA National lightweight title will be on the line as Brandon Johnson takes on fellow Baltimore native, Stephen Burden.

This bout has fireworks written all over it, as Johnson brings the cage time experience, to Burdens ring experience. Stephen Burden has 14 fights between his kickboxing/MMA resume, to Johnsons 5-5 MMA record. When asked about what’ll play a key factor in the bout to give Johnson the edge, he boldly states, “Cardio.” Following with “I can give shots, I can take shots.” I’m happy to get in a dog fight”

Tune in as Brandon Johnson and I chat in depth about the opportunity at stake against Stephen Burden. Johnson discusses bringing two belts back to Baltimore. Being crowned the Stellar Fights and WKA national lightweight champ, and the opportunity to vie for the WKA world lightweight title!
