Brave CF 42 results: Sean Santella vs. Jose Torres

The Brave flyweight tournament kicks off today with Brave CF 42 today, Thursday, Sept. 24.

Two of the first four opening bouts take place in Bahrain with the winner being crowned the Brave CF flyweight champion in the end. Headlining the card is former CFFC flyweight champion Sean Santella and UFC veteran Jose Torres.

Former Bellator bantamweight champion Zach Makovsky was slated to face Abdul Hussein in the co-main event, but Hussein withdrew due to illness. Makovsky will earn an automatic bye to the flyweight tournament semifinals.

Fellow flyweights Flavio Queiroz and Valimurad Alkhasov is no the new co-main event. Queiroz is prepared to put his three-fight unbeaten streak on the line. Alkhasov is looking to rebound from his first professional defeat, a split-decision loss to Makovsky at Brave CF 34 in January.
