Bryan Battle to move down in weight: Faces Takashi Sato in August
The Ultimate Fighter season 29 champion, Bryan Battle, is set to make the move down in weight this August as he takes on Takashi Sato at 170 pounds.
Battle (7-1-0) has spent his entire professional career in the middleweight division. Just last year he entered and won the TUF 29 middleweight tournament after defeating Gilbert Urbina via second-round submission.

In his second walk to the UFC octagon, he defeated fellow TUF 29 competitor, Tresean Gore, via unanimous decision back in February. Come August, he will have to cut an additional 15 pounds as he meets welterweight contender Sato.
Sato (16-5-0) made his way to the UFC back in 2019 and has gone 2-3 since signing with the promotion. Under the UFC banner, he holds wins over Ben Saunders and Jason Witt, defeating both via stoppage.

Despite being on a two-fight losing skid, Sato will look to put a halt on Battle’s welterweight debut this coming August.
The event takes place on August 6th and will stream on ESPN+, the location is yet to be determined.
