Cage Warriors lightweight champion Mason Jones details fighting at Cage Warriors 113 amid COVID-19 shutdown

Newly minted Cage Warriors lightweight champion Mason Jones is coming off of quite the event at Cage Warriors 113. The Welshman won the 155 pound title in dominant fashion but the lead up to the fight wasn’t easy.

He was originally slated to face Danilo Belluardo before an injury forced him out of the event. Then after the opponent change, the COVID-19 situation meant the event was in jeopardy. The event was able to go on but without the crowd.

Cage Warriors 113 marked the last significant MMA event to take place before many events were shut down. The event did take a few safety precautions including testing for fevers and making sure people avoided contact.

In this interview, Jones talks about the safety precautions at CW 113, winning the belt, Wales shutting down, and so much more.
