Carlos Martinez on Zion Thomlinson at CFS 4: “There’s a lot of ways I can take him out!”

Undefeated middleweight standout, Carlos Martinez returns to the Cowboy Fight Series cage for the second time this year as he takes on Zion Thomlinson at CFS 4. Sporting an undefeated 4-0 record, Martinez thoroughly enjoys the process of grinding his opponent down with a torturous pressure that has consistently worn his foes to a fatigued point where Martinez, more often than not, finishes them, or makes them quit.

Coming from an illustrious wrestling background, Martinez displays the work ethic to constantly force his opponents to work or break as his motto is simple; “Never quit and just grind people out.”

His opponent this Saturday, Zion Thomlinson is well known for his striking and never quit attitude. Always looking to improve, Thomlinson has his next 3 bouts already signed and agreed upon as he looks to stay active. Martinez plans to spoil his first of the 3 upcoming outings as he says, “All his losses come by submission. And that tells me his ground game isnt good. And I’m a wrestler! What’s is a wrestler gonna do? Take you down and beat the crap out of you on the ground.”

This middleweight clash sets a dramatic stage for CFS staff as Martinez already has a win over David Gladfelter, who will be fighting for the CFS middleweight title that night at CFS 4, so could we have a title eliminator on our hands, given Martinez pasts the Thomlinson test? Only time will tell…

Tune in as Carlos Martinez joins me via Skype to breakdown his middleweight bout with former CFC Middleweight tournament front runner, Zion Thomlinson ahead of their CFS 4 bout.
