On Friday night, Jan. 24, 2020, CES MMA kicks off their new year in a big way with three championship bouts and a loaded fight card overall with CES 60.

The event takes place at Twin River Casino in Lincoln, RI and will stream on UFC Fight Pass.

In the main event, New England regional staple Matt Bessette will look to regain the title he never lost as he takes on Charles Cheeks III for the vacant CES featherweight title. After being released by the UFC, Bessette returned to the CES cage and defeated Tim Dooling by unanimous decision in March at CES 55. Cheeks III is coming off of a unanimous decision win of his own when he defeated Josh Davila at August’s Fury FC 34 event and looks to make it four wins in his last five fights.

In the co-main event, Greg Rebello will defend his heavyweight title against Jordan Mitchell. “Ribz” was originally scheduled to face fellow Contender Series alum Tebaris Gordon, but Gordon was forced to withdraw due to illness.

The first ever CES flyweight champion will be crowned on Friday night as Johnny Lopez takes on Blaine Shutt. In addition, UFC developmental contract winner William Knight will face Rocky Edwards, along with John Gotti III returning to action taking on Marcos Lloreda. will be on site for the event to provide live, up-to-the-minute results of CES 60.
