Chase Moeller

Chase Moeller (2-0) chasing dreams, next chapter at AOW 28

Video interview with Chase Moeller above

Art of War Cage Fighting opens their 2023 schedule on Friday night, February 3rd.  AOW 28 goes down at the Sheet Metal Workers Union Hall on the waterfront in South Philadelphia.  The night will conclude as the former AOW Amateur heavyweight champ, Patrick “the Brick” Brady, goes hunting for his first professional title.

Main Event

Brady will put his 4-0 record on the line against Tra’Von Butler, who goes by the name Yimaz Wildman.  Wildman is coming off of a 2nd round finish and has a 5-2 record.  He is 27-years-old and fighting out of Missouri.  Yimaz will definitely enter the cage to a cascade of boo’s as Brady will once again have a huge support system in the building.

There are also some tasty matchups on the undercard.  At a catchweight of 165 lbs, Jose Rodriguez (1-1) will take on Chase Moeller (2-0).  Moeller is a 19-year-old, who is chasing the dream to become a professional fighter. Moeller has been impressive in his two fights and has also been busy competing in numerous grappling events.  Chase is really in good hands at MPR Endurance with head coach Erik Purcell and his excellent staff.  UFC stand-out Patrick Sabatini is among them.

MyMMANews caught up with Moeller to ask him about the fight and the sport which he loves. I asked him about studying his opponents and he tells us…

“100% I study every opponent I fight. I’ll find you. I’ll look you up and know where you fought, what year you fought, what you do, what your tendencies are.  I’ll find you.”

Chase is an excitable, energetic young man, just like 19-year-olds are supposed to be.  Only difference is he is getting in the cage and growing up quickly.  Moeller has a nice solid base as you will see us talk about in the interview, which you can see on the link above.  Don’t miss it!

I will be cageside on commentary with “the Big Homie” Justin Haskell and “Korean Thunder” Ryan Kim Cafaro.  We will have the boss in the house with live results, and William McKee taking the best shots from behind the lens.  The co-main event is also a monster bout as the AOW middleweight belt will be up for grabs between Earl “Trouble” Small and Gregg Ellis.

Art of War Cage Fighting 28 will be live streamed on PPV on Starfund App if you can’t make it to the show.  Stay right here for live results as we continue to cover regional combat sports like no one else.
