Following UFC debut win, Cole Smith aims for return at UFC 240 in Edmonton

One of the UFC’s newest faces at 135 pounds, Cole Smith checks in with MyMMANews.com to discuss his organizational debut win over Mitch Gagnon at UFC Ottawa earlier this month. Smith picked up the victory via unanimous decision to remain undefeated as a professional and earned that elusive first win inside the Octagon.

“The Cole Train” discusses how it feels to get the first win out of the way in the UFC, how his brother helped him find the sport of mixed martial arts, when it all clicked for him as a fighter, being a Battlefield Fight League amateur and professional champion, his first UFC fight week, what he was feeling like moments before he took his first walk to the Octagon, his post-fight scrum that got a lot of attention, clarifying what he meant when he spoke about fighter pay and how it was a learning experience, wanting to return in July at UFC 24o in Edmonton, if he has an opponent in mind and much more.
