Conor McGregor back in the gym after leg break: ‘I’ll be back, bitches!’

Former two-division champion, Conor McGregor, is back in the gym after suffering what could have potentially been a career ending injury against Dustin Poirier earlier this year.

“The Notorious” McGregor unfortunately broke his leg in the first round of their trilogy bout at UFC 264 in July.  Although he has had several out of the octagon scuffles since the devastating injury took place, McGregor has now been officially cleared by doctors to return to training.

The former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion posted several clips on social media showing his presence in the gym.

“First time back on the pads! What a buzz! Let’s go team @mcgregorfast!
Like my good friend @schwarzenegger says, “I’ll be back, bitches!”
Back with a vengeance!
Thank you to all my doctors and my team for getting me this far so soon after surgery! There is work to be done but doing work is what I’m known for.
Strap yourselves in for the greatest comeback in sports history! #champchampppvbillionaireking”

A second video shows McGregor shadow boxing with the caption:

“2 more months I am able to kick, grapple and run again. Ecstatic and grateful at my position current. Watch the work get put in now. 8 weeks left this calendar year. Perfect to get a head start on 22’. You think a broke bone stop me ?
Ho I’ve 3 legs. @netflix”

No official timeline for McGregor’s return has been outlined although it is expected that the former champion could return late next year.
