Damon Jackson vs Pat Sabatini booked for UFC Vegas 60

UFC Vegas 60 is coming along quite nicely, as they continue adding exciting match ups to the lineup.

Headlined by top ranked bantamweight contenders Cory Sandhagen and Song Yadong, a featherweight bout between Giga Chikadze and Sodiq Yusuff has also been added to the card.

UFC Vegas 60 is to go down on September 17, 2022, live from the Apex Center in Enterprise, Nevada.

Another exciting clash that’s been added to the card comes in the featherweight division between Pat Sabatini and Damon Jackson, both talents of which have had a lot of success as of late.

Damon Jackson first came to the UFC in 2014 following his claim of the LFC featherweight championship. But, he’d go 0-1-1-1 through three bouts and was released from the promotion.

Jackson would then go 8-2 over his next ten bouts, competing for LFA & PFL, before being called back up to the big show. Upon return, Jackson would get absolutely mauled by a highly touted Mirsad Bektic, before he’d submit (guillotine choke) him in round three to make for one of the better comebacks in this sports history.

A defeat to Ilia Topuria would follow, before winning his last three-straight in impressive fashion, making it 4-1 since returning to the UFC.

Pat Sabatini came to the UFC just last year in April of 2021 as the CFFC featherweight champion and has gone 4-0 inside the octagon thus far into his tenure.

Both of these talents are finishers that’ve won some decisions recently.

Jackson is 21-4-1-1 (3 knockout, 15 submissions, 3 decision), and has won two of his last three bouts via decision, while Sabatini is 17-3 (2 knockout, 10 submissions, 5 decision), and has won three of his four promotional bouts via decision.

Who walks away from this bout at UFC Vegas 60 the victor?

I became a fan of combat sports when I was 12 years old. I was scrolling through the channels and landed upon Versus, where WEC was televised. Urijah Faber fought Jens Pulver for the second time that night. That's the first fight I ever saw, and I was immediately hooked. So eventually, I began covering the sport in the fourth quarter of 2018, and have since started writing about animals as well.
