The trilogy is here.

UFC 252 takes place inside the UFC Apex tonight, Saturday, Aug. 15. Current heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic and former two-weight champion Daniel Cormier settle the score in the main event.

He made his octagon debut back in January, earning a first-round TKO against Nate Landwehr at UFC on ESPN+ 24.

At the official weigh-ins on Friday, Aug. 14, Burns tipped the scale at 149.5 pounds. Burns will meet another seasoned veteran in Pineda.

After six years of fighting in other top promotions like Bellator, Professional Fight League and Legacy Fighting Alliance, Pineda enters his second stint with the UFC. Pineda is coming off back-to-back no contests to Jeremy Kennedy and Movlid Khaynulaev in 2019.

After previously winning four-straight bouts, Pineda is unbeaten since 2017.

He made his UFC debut in January 2012. He fought seven times inside the octagon, earning wins against Justin Lawrence, Mackens Semerzier and Pat Schilling.
