First Ezekiel Choke in UFC History – Watch Aleksei Oleinik’s UFC Phoenix Win

Aleksei Oleinik defeated Viktor Pesta tonight on the preliminary portion of UFC Fight Night 103 in Phoenix, Arizona to record the first every win via Ezekiel choke in the UFC octagon.  Pesta was in full mount over Oleinik and the next thing you know the fight was over and he had lost.

Aleksei Oleinik defeated Viktor Pesta via submission (Ezekiel choke) – Round 1, 2:57.

It was not the first win for Oleinik via that rare choke.  He has 10 previous wins the hold.  His professional record now stands at 51-10-1.  Oleinik has been fighting professionally since 1997.

Known as Sode Guruma Jime in Judo, and more popularly in BJJ and MMA as an Ezekiel choke, it is extremely hard to pull off without the gi.
