Frans Mlambo excited for Efrain bout at Brave 10; feels ready for title shot

Bantamweight contender Frans Mlambo has been on a tear, finishing his last two fights inside the distance and positioning himself for a title shot against champion and one-time rival Stephen Loman. Scheduled to take on fellow striker Felipe Efrain at Brave 10: The Kingdom Rises, set for March 2nd, in Amman, Jordan, “The Black Mamba” hopes to put on a show and stamp his passport towards a title fight – and a rematch against “The Sniper”.

“I think Loman definitely deserves to be champion, after all, he has a win over “The Black Mamba” (laughs). I was impressed with his performance at Brave 9, and I look forward to challenging him soon. I don’t study my opponent’s tape but I know Efrain is a striker and that excites me because I feel we can put on a show. But I know one thing: Efrain won’t stand in my way. I will win and earn a title shot. It’s about time”, guarantees Mlambo, who had a somewhat controversial win in his last outing against Brazilian Michael Deiga-Scheck.

“I thought the referee was a bit quick to stop the fight. But I know that wouldn’t change the outcome. As fighters, we work very hard and sacrifice a lot to get in there. In that regard, maybe it should have gone a bit more, but it wouldn’t change anything”, comments Mlambo who counts on names like fellow Brave fighters Dylan “Nuke” Tuke and Will Fleury as well as MMA superstar Conor McGregor to help him prepare for Efrain.

Aside from a possible title shot on the line, Mlambo is also excited by the prospect of visiting Jordan and presenting his skills to some of MMA’s most hardcore fans.

“I absolutely can’t wait to visit Jordan. It will be a very interesting experience. I must admit that everything I know from Jordan comes from the Holy Bible, so I’m very excited, more than I can tell you. I know their fans are awesome as well, and I want to put on a show for them”, says the Bantamweight fighter.

Brave 10: The Kingdom Rises marks the promotion’s first show in Jordan, home to some of Brave’s most decorated fighters, and the seventh country to host a Brave Combat Federation event, after Bahrain, Brazil, the United Arab Emirates, India, Kazakhstan, and Mexico.
