According to the post, Hermansson broke his toe in the fight and he also suffered a broken eye-socket as well.

He also stated that his spirit is not broken. Hermansson is still one of the top middleweight contenders in the world and for good reason as he has victories in five of his past seven fights, including a wins over former Strikeforce champion Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza and former UFC interim title challenger Kelvin Gastelum.

The build up to Hermansson’s UFC Vegas 16 fight was challenging as Vettori was the third opponent Hermansson had to prepare for. Originally he was scheduled to square off against Darren Till before Till was forced to withdraw from the fight with an injury. Then “The Joker” was booked to fight Kevin Holland, but Holland was scrapped after testing positive for coronavirus.

It is unknown how long Hermansson will be out with these injures and the post-fight medical suspensions have not been released as of this time.
