Joe Solecki vs. Alex da Silva added to June 4th UFC Fight Night
UFC lightweights Joe Solecki and Alex da Silva will get their first bouts of 2022 on UFC Fight Night: Volkov vs. Rozenstruik.
The night of fights is to take place on June 4th at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.
28-year-old Solecki (11-3-0) will walk into the octagon coming off of a split decision loss to Jared Gordon in 2021. Before the loss, Solecki was on a six-fight win streak including a submission victory over Austin Hubbard and a unanimous decision victory over Jim Miller.
Standing across from the lightweight submission ace will be lightweight finisher, Alex da Silva.
“Leko” da Silva (21-3-0) holds 20 finishes of his 21 wins as a professional. Under the UFC banner, he has gone 1-2, with his sole victory coming over Rodrigo Vargas back in 2019. His most recent outing came against Brad Riddell in 2020, which he ultimately lost via unanimous decision.
The two are set to meet in what is bound to be an exciting lightweight matchup.
The event is to be headlined by top heavyweights Alexander Volkov and Jairzinho Rozenstruik. The co-main event will feature a top 15 flyweight showdown between Dan Ige and Movsar Evloev.
