John De Jesus vs. Aaron Pico targeted for Bellator 251 on Nov. 12

John de Jesus [13-8] is getting the matchup he wanted.

Following a unanimous decision win in his promotional debut at Bellator 244, de Jesus called out Aaron Pico [6-3] during the post-fight press conference. De Jesus will meet Pico at Bellator 251 at the Mohegun Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut on Nov. 12.

According to ESPN, both sides verbally agreed, but no contracts have been signed.

John De Jesus is on a three-fight win streak, including second-round knockout/TKO finishes against Josh Rohler and Ethan Goss. In his most recent contest, the 30-year-old handed Vladyslav Parubchenko his second professional defeat.

De Jesus earned some attention inside the Bellator cage after landing a highlight-real flying knee in the second round of the contest.

After dropping two-straight bouts in 2019, Pico is already on a better track in 2020. He won two consecutive bouts, most recently choking out Solo Hatley Jr. in the first round at Bellator 242 this past July.

He kicked off the new year with a second-round knockout against Daniel Carey at Bellator 238 in January.
