Josh Ugalde discusses his upcoming fight at Maverick 21

Josh Ugalde cannot wait to show off his improvements at Maverick 21 on Nov. 19.

Ugalde is an amateur fighter out of New Jersey and has a tremendous upside in mixed martial arts.

Prior to turning his talents to MMA, Ugalde was a standout wrestler in New Jersey and went on to compete at the University of Maryland where he competed in arguably the best college wrestling conference in the Big Ten.

Following his wrestling career, Ugalde began to slowly get in involved with MMA and began training under Gracie New Jersey Academy.

The gym has produced a lot of up-and-coming talent including Mickey Gall, who is currently a free agent in the sport after having several fights in the UFC. 

Ugalde looks up to Gall as a leader and has been working hard every single day to improve on skills. So, after his preparation has paid off as each fight, he looks light years better than he did in his last outing.

Now he’ll look to keep showing off his improvements and improvement on his perfect unbeaten amateur record.

Prior to Maverick 21, Ugalde spoke with MyMMANews about his upcoming fight, his training and improvements and he also discussed his college wrestling days at the University of Maryland.
