It’s fight week for USKA “It’s On!” and Julia Hopkins is confident in her team’s preparation….ready to do battle

Julia Hopkins is set to take on Brittany Bickhart in a kickboxing bout this weekend in Allentown, PA at USKA “It’s On!”  Julia has been training for about five years and started to compete two years ago.  She has some of the best in the business guiding her.  Kru Eric Karner is one of the most respected Muay-Thai instructors in the region along with Derek Kenney  has been a huge source of wisdom for Julia. One of Julia’s good friends and sometimes training partner is Lisa Edinger, who is the first ever Pennsylvania professional female Muay-Thai champion. Her head coach, Bill Algeo, is one of the top professional mixed martial arts fighters I have ever covered and an elite teacher.  His fight team at Algeo MMA and Kickboxing continues to grow and produce winning fighters.  Hopkins certainly has a strong support system behind her.

Please check out our video interview with Julia Hopkins above.  Since this is the first time that we have talked, Julia enlightens us as to why she began training and fighting.  We also talk about her match-up which is shaping up to be a candidate for fight of the night.

MyMMANews will be live with results and post-fight interviews.  Stay right here for the best combat sports coverage possible.
