Karate Combat 12 Closes Out Season 2 in Valhalla

Karate Combat closes out the season before the holidays with Karate Combat 12. With the Valhalla backdrop as their final virtual backdrop, Haftor Bjornsson joins Bas Rutten and Josh Palmer for the final three bouts of Season two that air tonight.

The undefeated “White Dragon” Bruno Roberto De Assis takes on Jesus Paucarcaja Lopez in the main event. Also on the card, another man that uses the “Dragon” moniker returns with “Black Dragon” Teeik Silva who takes on Pedro Roman Roig in the second bout of the night. Opening up the event will be Williams Quirino against Vasilii Antokhii.

It’s been an interesting season for the promotion. In 2020, events had to forego crowds and close off to the public. This is something Karate Combat had experience with going into the year. They brought something new with the virtual backdrops and some new viewing options to watch along with rotating some guest commentators to keep Rutten and Palmer company. They seemed to get away from the video game-like themes and the technology from season one to try something new in a difficult year for combat sports and sports in general. Was it enough to drum up some new fans for Karate Combat or did they take a step back?

Only time will tell but for now, here’s your final fight card for the season.
