Khamzat Chimaev gets married in Chechnya
Over the weekend, UFC welterweight star Khamzat Chimaev tied the knot in Chechnya.
Without all the press that has been covering the young star, Chimaev celebrated his wedding day with close friends and family. In addition to his friends and family, Ramzan Kadyrov, the head of the Chechen Republic, was also in attendance.

Believe it or not, it was Kadyrov who broke the news about the ceremony with a video showing the bride arriving with a police escort and the celebration which included seemingly lots of singing and dancing.

Chimaev (11-0-0) made his way to the UFC just two years ago and has gone on an absolute tear through the welterweight division. Over the course of his UFC career, he has defeated John Phillips, Gerald Meerschaert (at middleweight), and Jinglaiang Li all by stoppage. Most recently, he battled it out with Gilbert Burns in a fight of the year contender, ultimately walking away with the unanimous decision victory and a #3 by his name.
“Borz” has been calling out everyone in recent weeks, including the likes of Leon Edwards, Kamaru Usman, Nate Diaz, and Isreal Adesanya.
