Top Italian prospect, Leon Aliu will make his promotional debut at Brave Combat Federation on September 21 at the Mubadala Arena in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Aliu has an undefeated career record and is set to dethrone Hanekom at Brave 16. Seven out of eight straight wins came in the very first round for the Italian Middleweight fighter. Aliu has a 100% finish ratio with none of his fights left for the judges decision.
Currently training with the Iron Team – MMA Training Center in Italy, Brave 16 marks the first time Aliu is competing in the Middle East. Hanekom will be returning after a performance of the night winning, first round victory in Brave 13 hosted in Belfast. The bout will be critical in the division as it is set as an eliminator for the upcoming championship title fight announced for the Middleweight division. The division is currently dominated by Ikram Aliskerov who is victorious in all his four appearances at the Brave Combat Federation. Aliskerov has an undefeated professional record apart from being the 2017 World Combat Sambo Champion.
A win for Aliu will set up an interesting clash between the two undefeated Middleweights in the division.
