Li Jingliang calls for Jorge Masvidal Fight: “Let’s see who’s the best striker in Miami”

13th ranked welterweight, “The Leech” Li Jingliang took to Twitter today to call out former title challenger and 8th ranked welterweight, Jorge Masvidal.

Jingliang (18-7-0) is looking for an opponent for the summer following his loss to rising welterweight star Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 267. Since joining the UFC in 2014 the China Top Team alum has compiled a 10-5 record with wins over the likes of Dhiego Lima, Zak Ottow, and Santiago Ponzinibbio.

With 13 of his 18 wins coming by way of finish, “The Leech” has scored some highlight-reel finishes throughout his career. Just check out this first-round KO of Ponzinibbio.

He calls out Masvidal (35-16-0) at a time when Masvidal continues to go through legal battles following an altercation in Miami with fellow UFC welterweight Colby Covington.

“Gamebred” Masvidal has lost his last three bouts, which included consecutive title attempts against Kamaru Usman and a top contender bout with Covington. There is no news as to what might be next for Masvidal at the moment, though he has expressed interest in transitioning to boxing.

If “Gamebred” does return to the octagon by the end of summer, what would you make of a Li Jingliang vs. Joreg Masvidal matchup?
