Makhmud Muradov vs Abusupiyan Magomedov booked for UFC Paris

UFC Fight Night 210 has already got some pretty exciting match ups added to the card, such as a heavyweight bout between former interim champion, no. 1 ranked Ciryl Gane and no. 3 ranked Tai Tuivasa.

A formerly cancelled, rebooked middleweight match up between former middleweight champion, no. 1 ranked Robert Whittaker and no. 3 ranked Marvin Vettori is also slated for this event.

It’s almost surprising this is a Fight Night event, rather than a pay-per-view.

Nonetheless, UFC Fight Night 210 will go down on September 3, 2022, live from the Accor Arena in Paris, France.

We’ve been informed of another stellar match up going down at this event, and it comes in the middleweight division between Makhmud Muradov and Abusupiyan Magomedov.

Though many won’t know who these two are, this will be the perfect showcase for each man to demonstrate their skillsets. Both are high level strikers, and both are knockout artists.

Muradov, a four-fight UFC veteran, has gone 3-1 thus far in the promotion, and he nearly went 4-0 before being submitted by Gerald Meerschaert in his last outing after dropping him a number of times.

Prior to that defeat, Muradov had won his last 14-straight with 11 knockouts.

Magomedov on the other hand, a PFL veteran, will be making his UFC debut in this fight.

Muradov comes into this fight with a record of 25-7, a whopping 17 of those wins coming via knockout, while Magomedov comes in with a record of 24-4-1, 13 of those wins coming via knockout.

Each man has suffered just one knockout, or TKO defeat as well.

As you see, Makhmud Muradov is 14-1 over his last 15 contests, and Abusupiyan Magomedov is 11-1-1 in his last 13.

This is a very compelling match up to put both talents on the UFC map, who do you see coming out the victor?

I became a fan of combat sports when I was 12 years old. I was scrolling through the channels and landed upon Versus, where WEC was televised. Urijah Faber fought Jens Pulver for the second time that night. That's the first fight I ever saw, and I was immediately hooked. So eventually, I began covering the sport in the fourth quarter of 2018, and have since started writing about animals as well.
