Maverick 14 card announced for Stroudsburg’s Sherman Theater on September 14

Maverick MMA returns to the Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania on September 14. The Maverick 14 fight card will be headlined by a 165-pound title bout between American Top Team’s Gabriel Barletta (3-2) and Travis “The Sauce” Foster (3-8).  The contest will be the promotion’s first ever super lightweight title bout.

Both men are returning to the promotion following wins earlier this year.

Foster submitted Paul Sims in a very hard fought battle at Maverick 13 in June, while Barletta recorded a first round win over Andy Jimenez in March.  Foster also holds another win in the Maverick heptagon, another rear-naked choke submission over Ricky Nuno at Maverick 3 almost two years ago.

“This card has EVERYTHING!” said Maverick MMA promoter Willy Sisca. “An amazing title fight with two exciting fighters at the top. Some of the top Bantamweights in the region in the next two fights. Two exciting Flyweights making their Pro debuts to kick off the main card. The prelims are one great scrap after another. A few of the top fighters from some of the gyms you expect to see at a Maverick show. Pure MMA, Driven Gym, Gracie NJ, Finishers MMA, Renzo Gracie NYC to name a few. Sherman Theater will be rocking and rolling September 14th!”
