Former Invicta Fighting Championships featherweight champion Megan Anderson finally has a name for her UFC debut. Megan Anderson vs Holly Holm is set for UFC 225 in Chicago, Illinois at the United Center on June 9.
The news was first announced today by Phil Thompson of the Chicago Tribune and has not yet officially been announced by the UFC.
Anderson has been on the sidelines since winning the Invicta FC title in January 2017. She was supposed to meet now UFC featherweight champion Cris Cyborg for the title but pulled out of the bout citing personal problems.
Holm, a former UFC women’s bantamweight champion has fought twice now for the UFC’s 145 pound title, once against Germaine de Randamie, and a second against Cyborg.
UFC 225 is headlined by a UFC middleweight title bout between champion Robert Whittaker and challenger Yoel Romero. Also, an interim welterweight bout between former UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos and Colby Covington.Follow MyMMANews.com on Social Media
