Miles Johns talks UFC Vegas 65 win and plans for 2023

Miles Johns had a rollercoaster of an experience for his fight at UFC Vegas 65.

Prior to the fight, Johns joined MyMMANews to discuss all of his emotions coming into the fight.

For Johns it was his first fight training at Glory MMA in which he picked up his family and moved from Texas to Missouri to train under James Krause. It was also his first fight since a suspension and it accepted it on short notice.

Despite all those heavy moving pieces, Johns was excited for his opportunity to once again compete in the octagon.

On fight week, everything was going smoothy until one day before the fight when Johns learned Krause couldn’t corner him due to a suspension.

It’s rare too see a coach face a suspension and Johns still isn’t sure as to why it occurred. Since nonetheless, Johns knew he couldn’t pass up the opportunity so he got his brothers and father to be in corner.

Finally on fight night, despite everything that happen, it was time for Johns to finally fight again.

Johns wasn’t happy with his performance as him and Vince Morales didn’t provide a lot action throughout their 15 minute contest, however at the end of the fight it was Johns who was able to get his hand raised for the unanimous decision win.

Following his victory, Johns once again spoke with MyMMANews to discuss his performance, having his coach get suspended and his plans for 2023.

You can watch his full interview in the video above.
