Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Mia Kang entering MMA
Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition model Mia Kang has announced that she will entering the sport of mixed martial arts. Kang also announced that she signed with First Round MMA management which was founded by President and C.E.O. Malki Kawa, and has worked with some of the biggest names in the sport to include Jon Jones.
Kang made her muay thai debut in Thailand in early May, and on Monday she told MMAFighting.com’s Ariel Helwani on ‘The MMA Hour’ that she is looking to move to MMA.
“This is fun for me,” she told Helwani. “I wish I’d done it earlier and I want to see what else is out there. I don’t just train for fun and knowing me I’ll get there [to an MMA fight] down the road.”
Kang scored a third-round TKO over Thai fighter Nong B in a bout on the island of Koh Samui.
