‘The Holy War Angel’ Oluwale Bamgbose has been released from the UFC following his third consecutive loss with the organization.
The 185-pound fighter went to Twitter today to make the announcement.
Bambgose was knocked out by Alessio Di Chirico at UFC on FOX 26, December 16. It was the middleweight fighter’s third loss in a row, and fourth in five UFC bouts.
He also has UFC losses to Paulo Henrique Costa, Cezar Ferreira, and Uriah Hall. His sole win inside the octagon came by way of TKO over Daniel Sarafian in February 2016.
Bambgose began his professional MMA career fighting for Ring of Combat in Atlantic City, New Jersey in 2013. After starting with an undefeated 5-0 record the New York native was called up to the UFC on short notice to take on Hall.
While Bambgose has been released from the UFC, it seems as if he will continue in the sport, stating “The ufc isnt the end all be all to mma or combat sports. Like I said, I will regain my strength & fire & I will return again. God willing I will be in a much better position prior to my return to the fight game. No hard feelings over here, those fuck yous were just long over due!”
