When opportunity knocks, the explosive Dez ‘M80’ Moore answers the door. Desmond Moore has taken a last minute fight as a replacement in tonight’s Titan FC 44 fight card on UFC Fight Pass.
The American Top Team fighter was called this week to fill in for Juan Puerta against Gustavo Balart and will do so at the weight he is most comfortable at fighting, 125-pounds.
Moore moved down to Florida from Pennsylvania to train at American Top Team in 2015. He returned back north several times to take on opponents in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania based MMA promotions.
The first was a Global Proving Ground flyweight title shot in the Garden State against Andrew Cseh. Unfortunately, Moore was on the losing end of a split decision loss, but that did not sit well with him.
Moore was offered another title shot, this time at 115-pounds. ‘M80’ returned to the GPG cage to take on Albert Tapia at GPG 24 where he knocked his opponent out in the second round to capture the gold.
Then last summer, Moore made one more trip home, this time to Pennsylvania, to take on Blaine Shutt at World Cagefighting Championships 17 in Lancaster. There ‘M80’ picked up a unanimous decision win to improve his professional mixed martial arts record to 6-1.
Now with an opportunity to move up to the bigger stage, Moore is fully confident in his decision to take tonight’s fight on short notice.
“I trust my talent and work ethic and believe even on short notice I will be the best version of myself in the cage tonight,” Moore said.
Tune into tonight to UFC Fight Pass to watch Desmond Moore take on Gustavo Balart. Word of advise…. don’t blink.
