Rory MacDonald, Bellator Welterweight Grand Prix

Rory MacDonald tops the list as Bellator 220 salaries are revealed

Bellator 220 went down Saturday night from the SAP Center in San Jose, California. In the main event, welterweight champion, Rory MacDonald was taking on Jon Fitch in the final fight of the first round in the welterweight grand prix. Ultimately, the two fought to a majority draw, meaning MacDonald will advance due to the fact he is the champion.

In the co-main event, women’s flyweight champion, Ilima-Lei MacFarlane fought Veta Arteaga and won the fight via doctor stoppage in the third round. Also on the card was Benson Henderson taking on Adam Piccolotti and Phil Davis taking on Liam McGeary.

With a stacked card like this, the payouts are normally big, and that is exactly the case. MacDonald topped the list with $200,000, while Phil Davis made the next highest with a payout of $160,000. Jon Fitch cashed in with a $140,000 pay, where Benson Henderson was the only other fighter to get paid in the 100,000’s.
