Ryan Garcia misses weight, chugs beer at weigh-ins, will forfeit $1.5 million
On Friday, Ryan Garcia missed weight by 3.2 pounds for Saturday’s bout against Devin Haney. The boxing contest at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York will be broadcast on DAZN.
Garcia, who has been acting strange as of late, weighed 143.2 pounds, making himself ineligible to win Haney’s super lightweight title.
Garcia later stated that he gave Haney $1.5 million because of his weight miss. But Garcia’s antics didn’t stop there. After the weight miss, the challenger even chugged a beer.
