Sean Brady submits Jake Matthews in dominant performance at UFC 259

Sean Brady booked to face Jack Della Maddalena at UFC 290

Sean Brady will be returning at International Fight Week at UFC 290.

According to a report from Bendaman on Twitter – and confirmed by MyMMANews – Brady is set to return on July 8 against Jack Della Maddalena. The event will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with the main event likely to be Alexander Volkanovski defending his title against Yair Rodriguez.

Sean Brady (15-1) is coming off his first career loss as he suffered a second-round TKO loss to Belal Muhammad at UFC 280 last October. Brady is currently ranked ninth at welterweight and is 5-1 in the UFC. Prior to the loss to Muhammad, Brady picked up a decision win over Michael Chiesa, and submitted Jake Matthews before that. Brady also holds wins over Christian Aguilera, Ismal Naurdiev, and Court McGee while earning his way into the UFC after being the CFFC welterweight champion.

Jack Della Maddalena (14-2) picked up the biggest win of his career last time out as he scored a first-round TKO win over Randy Brown back at UFC 284 in February. The Aussie started out his MMA career 0-2 and then rallied off 14 straight wins. In the UFC, Della Maddalena is 4-0 with his other wins coming by Danny Roberts, Ramazan Emeev, and Pete Rodriguez with all his wins coming by first-round knockout. He picked up a decision win over Ange Loosa on the Contender Series to get to the UFC.
