Superior Challenge 18 Breaks New Ground

Superior Challenge celebrates its 10th year anniversary with a unique partnership and a strong fight card.

Superior Challenge celebrates its 10th year anniversary this year. To honor this, the promotion keeps breaking new ground with an exclusive event with a fantastic fight card, and a unique collaboration with Fitnessfestivalen, northern Europe’s largest training and health fair, with 30,000 expected visitors during the event days. The aim is to offer fair visitors a new product in the form of a qualitative international MMA promotion, and to introduce MMA to a new large audience.

This Saturday it’s ones again time to test the Nordic and Swedish MMA elite against international opponents inside the world’s largest MMA cage. The card contains of a total of thirteen bouts where the evening’s Main Event is a rematch between Sweden’s most popular fighter Simon “The Gentleman” Sköld and Finland’s Jerry Kvarnström. Simon is a local Swedish well-known medial character and last time they fough he lost to Jerry after a very entertaining performance by both athletes. This rematch is highlighted in Swedish media and attracts the attention of a new audience.

One of Sweden’s foremost fighters, Nico Musoke is back at Superior Challenge and makes his first bout outside UFC against “The Viking Hunter” Daniel Acacio in one of the evening’s Co Main Events. This is a middleweight title qualification bout.

The promising talent and Rizin veteran Karl “King” Albrektsson will face TUF and UFC veteran Josh “Sandman” Stansbury, who also makes his first bout outside UFC. This is a light heavyweight title qualification bout.

Superior Challenge’s reigning welterweight champion, Sweden’s MMA pioneer, and the UFC and Pride FC veteran David Bielkheden is set for his second title defence against another UFC veteran, Poland’s Marcin “Bomba” Bandel.

Saturday December 1 is Fight Night and the first Pre-Fight starts at 6:00 PM CET. The event starts at 7:00 PM, and the Main Card starts at 9:30 PM CET.

Superior Challenge 18 has a strong medial presence in Sweden and the Nordic Counties. Viaplay will broadcast the entire event live in the Nordic Countries (Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland) stating at 7:00 PM CET. FITE TV will broadcast the entire event live world-wide outside the Nordics with the same start time. TV10’s live broadcast in Sweden starts at 9:30 CET with the first bout on the Main Card.
