Surging UFC middleweight contenders Dricus Du Plessis and Andre Muniz are set to clash at UFC 269 in what should be an action-packed fight.

ESPN’s Brett Okamoto was the first to report the Du Plessis vs. Muniz fight, which will take place at UFC 269, which is set for December 11. The event does not currently have a location or venue locked in yet.

Per sources, UFC middleweight bout between Dricus Du Plessis (@dricusduplessis) and Andre Muniz (@andremunizufc) being added to Dec. 11. Du Plessis is 2-0 in the UFC with two KOs. Muniz is 3-0 and coming off that submission win over Jacare Souza. Solid fight.

Du Plessis (16-2) joined the UFC roster last year when he knocked out Markus Perez in his promotional debut. The South Africa native then returned back to the Octagon at UFC 264 this summer and he knocked out Trevin Giles in another fantastic performance. At just 27 years of age, Du Plessis is quickly becoming a known commodity for UFC fans with his incredible knockouts inside the Octagon. He also has the look and could be a big star for the promotion if he is able to continue adding on to his current five-fight win streak.

Muniz (21-4) is currently the No. 15 ranked middleweight in the UFC. Just 31 years old, the Brazilian is 3-0 in the UFC so far with wins over Ronaldo Souza, Bartosz Fabinski, and Antonio Arroyo. He is currently riding a seven-fight win streak overall and has the chance to take another step forward in the deep UFC middleweight division if he is able to get past Du Plessis. Going up against a knockout artist, one would imagine that Muniz will look to take this fight down to the ground in order to show off his BJJ skills.

Who do you think wins this middleweight bout at UFC 269 between Dricus Du Plessis and Andre Muniz?
