TGN: 16 Man Submission Only Tournament – July 31 – PPV Stream
The Grappling Network has finally arrived on FITE!
The Grappling Network (TGN) is coming to FITE with regular events and documentaries around all non-striking fight sports including submission wrestling and BJJ. To celebrate the partnership, TGN and FITE will host the event Submission Only Series (SOS) also known as Save Our Summer, live from the Academy LA on Saturday, July 31st.
The event features a 16-man submission only tournament and a Team USA qualifying match using the United World Wrestling (UWW) ruleset. It will also give fans over-the-top burlesque and danger show acts and musical performances by Petite Meller, Ariel Beesley and DJ Aero.
The event was organized by Blair Green, the Executive Director of USA Grappling which answers to UWW, and ultimately, to the International Olympic Committee, and is also sponsored by top model and talent agency Other Peoples Children (OPC). The Team USA qualifying match will have TJ Steinebach facing BJJ World Champion Eric Medina. On the sub only side we have several of 10th Planet’s best from Texas, Vegas, and Orange County facing many of the top BJJ academies in the world including ATOS, Checkmat, AOJ, CSW, Rosas Bros, MCBJJ, and more.
