Tim Means will no longer be fighting on Saturday night at UFC Vegas 29 against Danny Roberts, but he will return one week later.
Means was supposed to fight Roberts but the UFC announced Roberts was out due to COVID-19 protocols and the fight was scrapped. Yet, the good news for “The Dirty Bird” is the fact he will fight one week later on June 26 at UFC Vegas 23 against Nicolas Dalby. Dalby was supposed to fight Sergey Khandozhko but he was forced out of the scrap due to an injury.
Tim Means (31-12-1 and one No Contest) is on a two-fight winning streak and coming off a decision win over Mike Perry at UFC 255. Prior to that, he beat Laureano Staropoli by decision to get back into the win column after suffering a submission loss to Daniel Rodriguez. He has had mixed results as of late, but he still remains a fan favorite and has fought the who’s who of the featherweight division. He’s fought the likes of Belal Muhammad, Niko Price, Alex Oliveira, Matt Brown, Jorge Masvidal, and Neil Magny among others.
Nicolas Dalby (19-3-1 and two No Contests) is coming off a decision win over Daniel Rodriguez at UFC 255, the same card Means beat Perry. Prior to that, he suffered a shocking submission loss to Jesse Ronson which was overturned to a No Contest after the Canadian tested positive. Since coming back to the UFC, he’s 2-0 and one No Contest. His first stint in the UFC was from 2015 to 2016 where he went 1-2 and one draw where he beat Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos and fought Darren Till to a draw. His losses were to Zak Cummings and Peter Sobotta.
With the addition of Means-Dalby, UFC Vegas 30 is as follows:
