Tito Ortiz Still Waiting for Shlemenko to Sign
Earlier today Tito Ortiz tweeted that Alexander Shlemenko (50-7) has yet to sign the contract for their fight scheduled for Bellator’s inaugural pay-per-view event next month. Shlemenko initially called out Ortiz (16-11) to fight him, and the former UFC lightheavyweight champion verbally accepted.
Here is the tweet from Tito Ortiz about the situation:
“@StormShlemenko calls me out but won’t sign bout because it’s 3rds. Maybe getting another opponent if this guy doesn’t sign”
Another tweet from Ortiz to Shlemenko read “you call me out and didn’t think I would accept? Why you backing out? Afraid your(you’re) going to get mopped up off the floor?
We will keep you posted with updates on the situation.
