VIDEO: Former UFC fighter Aleksei Oleinik knocked out cold in Russia

Former UFC heavyweight submission artist Aleksei Oleinik was knocked out cold in his first fight since release from the promotion.

The 45-year-old Russian known as the “The Boa Constrictor” was defeated by fellow former UFC fighter Oli Thompson in a bout under the REN TV Fight Club banner at Dynamo Volleyball Arena in Moscow.

Oleinik, known for putting his victims away with the Ezekiel choke, was hit hard by a big right hand from Thompson and immediately hit the canvas.

With the loss, Oleinik moves to an incredible 60-18-1. In his last UFC fight in October 2022, he dropped a decision to Ilir Latifi. Oleinik joined the UFC in 2014 and had 17 fights with the promotion.

Thompson moves to 22-16. He had just two fights with the UFC, both losses in 2012.
