WSOF 15 Results – Branch KO’s Okami, Other Champs Retain

Three championship fights turned into two after Melvin Guillard failed to make weight yesterday during the WSOF 15 weigh-ins.  The Young Assasin wass scheduled to meet reigning champion Justin Gaethje in a lightweight championship match but that opportunity went out the window yesterday.  Guillard talked a big game but in the end his shot to back it up and take the title was snatched away simply for failure to meet the 155 pound limit.

Two other titles were on the line as WSOF middleweight champion David Branch defends against Yushin Okami, and the number one strawweight female fighter on the planet, champion Jessica Aguilar defends against Brazilian, Kalindra Faria.

Branch retained his middleweight title with a KO win over Okama in the 4th round.

In the night’s first title matchup, Aguilar defeated Faria via unanimous decision.

WSOF aired on NBC Sports from the USF Sun Dome in Tampa, Florida.
