Adam Borics full Bellator 250 post-fight press conference

Adam Borics took advantage of the third round in a unanimous decision win against Erick Sanchez at Bellator 250 on Thursday, Oct. 29.

After two rounds of technical striking between both parties, Borics dominated Sanchez on the feet in the third round. Borics landed the harder shots and was throwing at higher volume.

Borics even landed a number of elbows from his feet. He capped off the final round with a surprising takedown.

“I felt he was hurt, so I wanted to finish him. I was much stronger physically,” Borics said. “I was pretty fresh before the third round and at the end of the third round I was pushing hard because I wanted the finish.

Borics attempted an arm-bar late, but Sanchez was able to roll out to escape. The 27-year-old transitioned to a triangle, but Sanchez ended up on top.

Although Borics failed to finish his opponent, he did enough to persuade the judges in the end.

“I am always looking for the finish,” Borics said. “I get a little bit tired of course, but I can do five rounds I feel.”

Borics moves to a two-fight win streak. The Hungry native made a quick turnaround after beating Mike Hamel by split decision at Bellator 243 this past August.

Borics is planning on spending Christmas with his family and told members of the media he is eying a return to competition in February 2021.

“I haven’t been to Hungary in like eight months, I was staying here so I haven’t seen my family since a long time ago,” Borics said. “I want my Christmas with my family now, but I am going to come back in February.”

Adam Borics spoke to MyMMANews and other members of the media at the Bellator 250 post-fight press conference on Thursday, Oct. 29. See the full interview in the video above.
